  • ARC - Burnley Workshop Fundraiser - Our Council will be manning kiosks throughout the area during the month of May to collect donation for ARC, the Burnley Workshop and the Special Olympics.     Fishing with the Knights     - The Sixth Annual Fishing with the Knights was held on Saturday April 20 at the "Waterfall Pond" at Daniels Top-of-the-Poconos Family Resort from 8am to 11am with a Free Breakfast, refreshments and prizes for the kids. Lots of families. This is one of our Council's premir events for our children and a perfect "teaching moment". For pictures click HERE.






  • Council Free Throw Competition - On Jan 27th we conducted the 2013 Council level Freethrow competition. The event was held at Msgr. McHugh School and many outstanding future basketball stars participated.

  • Keep Christ in Christmas Essay WINNERS - On Jan 23 Knights of Columbus Council #12447 Deputy Grand Knight Thomas Vanasco, announced the winners of the 2012 "Keeping Christ in Christmas" Essay Contest. Three of the winners are students at Monsignor McHugh School in Cresco and after being introduced by Principal Nicole Romano, the winners were presented with monetary awards.The winners are Emilia Pelletier in grades 7-9 category, Kylee Wickenheiser in grades 1-3 category and Ryan Hardy in grades 4-6.

  • Annual Christmas Party and Award Banquet - We celebrated the season and recognized exemplary service on Tuesday December 11th at Basso's.

  • Memorial Mass - Our Annual Memorial Mass in honor of our deceased brothers was held at the 11 a.m. Mass on November 11th. A delightful reception was held at the Bloomin' Onion afterwards.

  • Collect-A-Coat Program - Our annual winter coat collection program has completed. A huge pile of winter duds were brought to Bright Cleaners and will be handed over to the Women's Resouce Center

  • Oktoberfest 2012 - Our Council manned the corn food stand and helped with event security at this 2-day annual Parish event that was held on September 22nd and 23rd.

  • ARC-Burnley Fundraiser - Our Council manned kiosks again this year at Lewis' Grocery and Dutch's Market in May to raise money for these worthy causes that help children, adults and families with mental disabilities.
