  • ARC-Burnley Fundraiser - Our Council will be manning kiosks again this year at Lewis' Grocery and Dutch's Market in May to raise money for these worthy causes that help children, adults and families with mental disabilities. Volunteers are needed to man a kiosk for just a few hours on these dates:
    • Sat May 12 at Lewis' Grocery
    • Sat May 19 at Lewis' Grocery
    • Sat May 19 at Dutch's Market
    • Friday May 25 at Ductch's Market

  •  Knight's News
  • Fishing with the Knights - The Fifth Annual Fishing with the Knights happened on Saturday April 21st at the "Waterfall Pond" at Daniels Top-of-the-Poconos Family Resort from 8am to 11am. Free Breakfast, refreshments and prizes were provided for the kids. The weather was great, the fishing was great and an overflow crowd of families packed the railing and had a great time.   • First Degree Exemplification - On Tuesday March 13 in Maloney Hall our Council's First Degree Team conducted this ceremony. Brian Colfer of our Council and Ed Avasso of Council #13752 are now First Degree Knights.

  • Knights 2012 Free Throw Competition We've been through the Council level, the District level and now the Regional level, which had over 100 competitors, hundreds of fans in the stands, T-shirts, snack bar, and many tie shoot-outs. It truely makes us feel like we are doing something great for our youth. Click here to see pictures of the Regional.

  • "Keep Christ in Christmas" On January 18th Grand Knight Michael Foran announced the winners of the 2011 "Keep Christ in Christmas" Essay Contest from among the 136 submitted essays. Three of the winners are students at Msgr. McHugh School and on January 18th, after being introduced by Msgr. McHugh School Principal, Mrs. Nicole Romano, the winners were presented award Certificates and a monetary prize. In the Grades 1-3 category the winner is Rachael Sarajian. In the Grades 4-6 category the winner is Colin Kissell. In the Grades 7-8 category the winner is Jade-Amanda Colon. Additionally on January 22nd, Mr. Foran presented the award for the Grades 9-10 category winner Makayla Saltmarsh.
  • Burnley Christmas Party – Our Council joined other area Councils in Districts 35 and 36 for the 2011 Burnley Workshop Christmas party sponsored by Pocono Mountain Council 4159. Pictures of this heartwarming annual event are online here.
  • Collect-A-Coat – Once again this year the Council led a Parish wide effort to collect lightly used winter coats, have them cleaned and distributed to those in need.
  • Memorial Mass - Our Annual Memorial Mass in honor of our deceased brothers was held at the 11 a.m. Mass on November 13th. A light reception was held in Maloney Hall afterwards. The service was exceptionally well attended by family members and Knights.
  • Oktoberfest 2011 - Our Council manned the corn food stand and helped with event security at this new annual Parish Cluster event that was held on September 18th.
  • Acolyte Baseball - Our Council treated our Acolytes to a Wilkes-Barre Yankees baseball game on Friday August 19th. Parents, Knights and Parishioners purchased their tickets and joined the fun on a summer night out.
